When you connect your power adapter to your MacBook, there’s no audio that’s available, according to the default settings. But you’d agree, it would be nice if the MacBook, like the iPhone or iPad, reported a short audible notification that charging had started successfully. Fortunately, with just one simple console command, you can activate that alert.
Step 1. Turn off your MacBook power adapter
Step 2. Start the app Terminal (the easiest way to open it is by searching Spotlight)
Step 3. Insert the command below out the window Terminal And click Enter
Ready! You can check the team’s success right away – just plug in the power adapter to your MacBook. The sound of the alert will be similar to what is played when you connect your iPhone or iPad to the charger.
If you want to turn off the audio message when you connect your power adapter to your MacBook, you’ll need to dial the following command in the Terminal:
