A rare Mac user did not have a problem cleaning the basket. This seemingly simple operation can turn into a living hell – the computer as a result of the removal of unnecessary files can think for a long time or even reboot, after which the basket usually something “stuck” and in any more does not want to be removed. That’s why it’s helpful to know that the solution to any shopping cart problems in OS X is a simple console command.
Using the console command below, it’s a good idea to start all the time, and it can significantly improve your Mac experience. Especially if you’re used to operating a lot of files that you have to delete every day. No more toily expectations, fear of a sudden reboot and tossing into the file basket in separate portions.
Step 1. Start the app Terminal (you can access it the fastest way by searching Spotlight)
Step 2. Enter the following command in the command line and click Enter:
Step 3. Confirm the action by entering the password in the Terminal and by clicking Enter again. Note: Password will not appear as it is entered
Step 4. Check the basket
That’s it! Your shopping cart will be cleaned of all files contained in it, including “stuck” after unsuccessful previous cleansing. If you had a lot of files in your shopping cart, you’ll immediately notice that the cleansing process was many times faster than normal and there were no Mac hangs.
